Very few photographers are ever recognized for their lifetime of work. Even fewer deserve to be recognized. However, XtremeCamera’s very first “ro” member, John Running, is currently enjoying a huge retrospective of his work in Flagstaff Arizona.

The show, Forty Years Runnning” opened on October 28th and will run through November 30th, and if you have ever wanted to seek out inspiration for your own work, or wish to simply admire the work of a true artist, you should make plans today to see this gorgeous exhibit before its too late.

John Running has always been an amazing artist and a trusting and dear friend to XtremeCamera and we are so very proud to see John being recognized to contributing such an amazing amount of art to world in desperate need of something beautiful. Do NOT miss this show….

Over the years John’s images have adorned various galleries throughout XtremeCamera and his words, advice, and support, have been the single most respected source for all of us, especially during the days when we thought we were down for the count.

FORTY YEARS RUNNING
OFFERINGS TO THE GODS OF LIGHT AND SHADOW

The Flagstaff Photography Center’s next exhibit will feature John Running’s retrospective exhibit, Forty Years Running: Offerings to the Gods of Light and Shadow. This show will display a comprehensive collection of Running’s work from the 1970s until now.

On display you will see framed photos, work prints and memorabilia,
a caldron of work slow-cooked over four decades. The exhibit features iconic photos of cowboys and American Indians, photos from travels, and years of working in the Grand Canyon and the celebration of fine art nudes.

Running believes that his photographs are truly offerings to the Gods of Light and Shadow - that they are offerings of thanks for the privilege and gifts he has received over the past forty years. His work has been described as documentary in style and this exhibit documents his life and evolution as a photographer. The exhibit opens the evening of Wednesday, October 28th and will be on display until November 30th.

You are all invited to the October 28th Opening Reception starting at 6:00 PM at the Flagstaff Photography Center off Flagstaff’s Heritage Square.
